1. CLASS 100:
Discovering Jesus Christ Personally as Saviour
Knowing Jesus as Savior
Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain
the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
1 John 5:13 These
things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God;
that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the
name of the Son of God.
Romans 10:9-13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall
not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference
between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all
that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved.
Baptism
Baptism
is a church ordinance, meaning that Jesus commanded His church to Baptize
people. It is an important first step in the Christian life for several
important reasons:
·
It is a picture of Jesus' death, burial, and
resurrection.
·
It is an outward witness to an unbelieving
world of what's happened inside us.
·
It is a sign of our new life in Christ.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead
by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
