WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND CHURCH?

that question.

ATTENDANCE WAS PRACTICED BY THE APOSTLES AND EARLY CHRISTIANS - If we have the same kind of Christianity that the New
Testament Saints had, then we will go to Church. One cannot read the book of
Acts and the Epistles without seeing how important the Church was to the early
Christians. Hebrews
CHURCH
ATTENDANCE SHOWS WHOSE SIDE WE ARE ON
- There is a very real war being fought today between right and wrong. Everyone
must take a side in this battle, either for or against Jesus Christ. Church
attendance is one of the ways that we can show where our allegiance is. This
what the Bible says about the church and the one who started it…
“I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not
prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18. Think
about that, the very builder of the church was sinless,
the only man who ever lived that NEVER sinned! Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot
be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted
like as we are, yet without sin.
CHURCH ATTENDANCE PROVIDES US WITH THE SPIRITUAL FOOD
WE NEED TO GROW PROPERLY - Just as
the physical body needs food, so does our spiritual body. One of the places
where we get our spiritual food is at the House of God. Paul told the elders of
the Church at Ephesus to …”Acts 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the
Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath
purchased with his own blood.”
REMEMBER: Your profession of faith benefits no one unless you
demonstrate your love for Christ and His Word in the way that you live. Make
Church attendance a regular part of your life.
Matthew 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a
bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the
house.

Whether play, work, or relaxing we
usually let folks know who, what, where, when, and why we are! When a Policeman
is on duty we recognize him by what he has on. Most people have an address,
e-mail, web address, cell phone number, driver’s license, a multitude of
identifications we use in society for a specific purpose. Then why cannot one
identify with what he or she believes by the act of Baptism? It is by this that
we are obedient in what Jesus Christ himself taught by being baptized.
